Race week for Henderson’s Terrible 300 Desert Race has arrived
Events to be held Thursday-Sunday; Saturday is race day

WHAT:
Festivities will be held this week for Henderson’s Terrible 300 Desert Race Events will take place Dec. 2-5 (Thursday-Sunday), with the race itself taking place on Saturday, Dec. 4. All events are free for spectators.

The race, which is sponsored by the Henderson Convention and Visitors Bureau, Herbst Gaming and the city of Boulder City, will take place in the Eldorado Valley located between Henderson and Boulder City. It will be made up of two courses – one for motorcycles and ATV’s and one for cars and trucks – running in a figure-eight style. The start-finish line will be positioned off of Nevada Highway 95, near the Railroad Pass exit, so spectators will be able to view both races at the same time.

Best in the Desert Racing Association will both produce and sanction the event, which features cars, trucks, buggies, motorcycles and ATV’s.

WHY:
The events lead up to Saturday’s third annual Henderson’s Terrible 300 desert race. The race is becoming one of the premier off-road races in the Southwest.

PHOTO OP:
Friday night’s festivities on Water Street will make for great photo opportunities and/or live broadcasts. The time trials and the race will also make for great photo opportunities.
