Cinnamon Ranch Racing Sacramento,

The Moss brothers, Don and Ken, kicked off the SCORE 2005 Off Road racing season
just as they finished the 2004 season, with yet another commanding Class 3 win.
The brothers won the 11th annual SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge (January 15-16)
for the fourth year in a row in their Class 3 Ford Bronco. This is the first
of the five race 2005 SCORE Desert Racing season and there were over 230 Racing a home/ranch built ’79 Ford Bronco, the Moss brothers alternated driving duties with Donald driving on Saturday and Ken taking the wheel on Sunday. The 11 mile course started and finished with a stadium style loop in front of grandstand seating complete with SCOREvision (large screen LCD display of live footage from various locations on the track) which, combined with the hillside viewing area and the event VIP tent, made for a crowd of 15,000 spectators. Racers in Class 3 had 80 minutes to complete 3 laps of the course. Don completed the 33 miles on Saturday in 52.22 minutes at an average of 37.8 mph, a full 10 minutes ahead of the next competitor in their class. Ken continued the domination on Sunday completing the race in 57.28 minutes at an average of 34.54 mph, adding another 12 minutes to their lead, to lock up the commanding win. The event finishing order is based upon the combined two day elapsed time of each team. The team finished the 66 miles at an average speed of 36 mph with a huge 26 minute lead. Ken commented,
”It was a lot rougher than the pre-run, that’s for sure. It wasn’t
too bad though, being wet, there wasn’t as much dust.” Don added,
“The course was considerably rougher on Sunday as the unlimited classes
ran after us on Saturday, which caused Ken’s times on Sunday to The Moss brothers and their black bronco now have their sights set on the SCORE San Felipe 250 race on February 25 – 26, 2005. The Bronco will be serviced and thoroughly checked before the team sets out to assault the Mexican desert in search of their 9th straight class 3 win. The Cinnamon Ranch Racing
