Auto Meter’s gauges peak for the 2005 CORR Lucas Oil Series

Indianapolis, IN (January 24, 2005) -- As the preeminent gauge company in the CORR Lucas Oil Series, Auto Meter is in view for nearly all of the drivers in Championship Off Road Racing.

Now fans watching the CORR Lucas Oil Series on Speed Channel will have their chance. Auto Meter will be the sponsor of the Starting Grid for the Pro-4 shows during the 2005 season.

Bud Porter, Director of Motorsports for Auto Meter, stressed his excitement the only way Championship Off Road Racing fans can.

“At Crandon, when the guys come out of the first corner after the land rush start; that is how excited we are! We can’t wait until the season gets going!”

Auto Meter’s involvement in the CORR Lucas Oil Series over the years has been their generosity through the contingency package to the drivers. In 2005, Auto Meter will pay the winner of each division $100 in product.

“I would like to thank all of the teams for using our products in their trucks,” said Porter. “This type of television sponsorship is the first for Auto Meter, we look forward to a long rewarding relationship. Without them (the teams), we would not be able to do this. We felt the need to get the word out to the fans.”

While at the CORR events, both drivers and fans can visit the Jim Conner Racing trailer for the latest Auto Meter merchandise.

“Jim Conner will continue to administer the program, he really does a great job,” noted Porter. “Actually, Jim is the reason why we got involved with CORR.”
