Donahoe Racing Signs with Ford Motorsports

Anaheim, CA (February 27, 2005) -- Donahoe Racing Enterprises is proud to announce that Team Donahoe finalized plans to campaign a Ford SuperDuty in Best in the Desert (BITD) events. Final understandings were inked during the BITD Parker 425 in February.

Team Donahoe, now an active participant in Ford Truck Motorsports "Technical Exchange" program, will build a brand new 2005 Ford F-350 4WD Diesel Super Duty. It will be equipped with Donahoe Racing’s new 2005 Ford Super Duty suspension system. The new 2005 Super Duty will compete in the Best in the Desert "Stock Full Size Pick-up" Class #8100, beginning with the Nevada 1000 in July 2005.

The rough terrains of the Nevada desert serve as one of the best proving grounds for complete vehicles, and Donahoe Racing’s suspension systems. "Racing the Ford Super Duty will provide Team Donahoe with the opportunity to confirm the robustness of our 2005 suspension system. Racing this Super Duty is a perfect platform for us. Our biggest product line of performance suspension is for the Ford Super Duty. It’s unbelievable how much torture we put these trucks through when we race them. We are very excited to team up with Ford. Team Donahoe will use this opportunity to get some great feedback. To be able to run a product we sell and really prove it out in the desert is great!” says Kreg Donahoe, president of Donahoe Racing.

The Super Duty is due to be delivered to Team Donahoe’s facilities direct from Ford Trucks at the end of February and will be built on-site by Team Donahoe race members to prepare for the Best in the Desert Nevada 1000 in July 2005. So ‘keep a look out’ for Team Donahoe’s new Ford Super Duty race truck the Best in the Desert events this year.
