Ivan Stewart & His DVD Are Both Recognized
By The 2005 Xtremey Awards
(March
1, 05) -- Ivan “Ironman” Stewart will receive the 2005
Xtremey Honorary Achievement Award during the 2005 Xtremey Awards on May
10th in Costa
Mesa,
California. Stewart is being honored for his “huge contribution to sports
entertainment and because of the influence his racing skills have had in all
of the extreme sports industries.”
This is the 5th year of the Xtremey Awards and the previous Honorary Achievement
Award winners include Evil Knieval, Malcolm Smith, Warren Miller, and Bruce
Brown.
Stewart attended the Xtremey
Awards in 2004 as a presenter and says he is really looking forward to this
year’s event, “I was very impressed
with the professionalism and excitement of last year’s awards ceremony
and I am obviously thrilled and honored to be recognized this year.”
The Ironman may be busy
on awards night because the “Ivan Stewart Off
Road Series: Racing in Baja and Beyond”, has also been nominated for
an Xtremey Award in the category of Best Competition and Race/Dirt Video. “Racing
in Baja and Beyond” was produced by Clubhouse Productions of Denver,
Colorado and DVD Producer Steve Weiss says “It’s an honor to be
nominated for our first effort in this series. We had a lot of fun putting
this video together and we believe it really gives fans a look at what off
road racing is all about. We would also like to thank Docy Andrews of Impact
Video Distributing for helping us get this DVD to the marketplace.”
The Xtremey Awards are produced by Impact Video and will take place at The
