Pro Comp and Coyne Motorsports team up for 2005

Congratulations to Marty & Travis Coyne and the entire #5 Trophy Truck Team for their excellent 4th place finish at the San Felipe 250 kicking off the 2005 SCORE season!

Marty started the race 8th off the line and by race mile 15 was 4th on the road. At race mile 20 they blew a right rear shock. The Pro Comp Coyne Motorsports Chase Team was nearby and had a spare shock on board. They were able to replace the rear shock in about 45 minutes and get back on course. Good job guys considering you need to lift the truck through its 36 inches of wheel travel without a hoist!

Pro Comp Racing Is Here In ’05 And Everybody’s Watching!

Travis Coyne got in the truck at race mile 130 where they were 10th on the road. He had two flats, one in Matomi wash the other in Chanate wash. Despite the flats they charged hard and were on the gas passing trophy trucks left and right all the way to the finish. They were the 3rd trophy truck to cross the finish line but were placed 4th on corrected time.

The San Felipe 250 is the most treacherous, roughest, rockiest course they visit on the SCORE circuit. This race challenges drivers, crew and equipment and we are all pleased with their excellent finish considering the extensive down time they had with the shock problem. Look for them next at the Baja 500.
