Through innovation, K&N Filters continues
to find success in the CORR Lucas Oil Series
Indianapolis,
IN (March 30, 2005) -- Even though K&N Filters
have 35 years of experience manufacturing filters to protect engines, they
are constantly
looking to take the next step.
“A key to the success of K&N Filters are the employees,” said
Jeremy Subriar, Corporate Race Program Manager for K&N Engineering, Inc. “A
big percentage of the people that work here at K&N are racers themselves,
and racers are always looking for new ways, and ways to do things better. That
translates into just about everything we do.”
In the brief history of
K&N’s involvement in the CORR Lucas Oil
Series (six years), they have been a key asset to nearly every driver in the
series. Without a doubt, off-road racing is the cruelest atmosphere for K&N
Filters. Time and again, the knowledge taken from CORR and off-road racing
has benefited racers, and everyday consumers.
“What I can tell you is that having an engine protected in these extremely
harsh conditions is a victory in itself,” noted Subriar. “I have
spoken to many racers who tell us how much their engine builders love us after
tearing down a motor. I have been told that because of the quality of the product,
that K&N is a good part of the reason that they ended up in the winner’s
circle.”
With a start in off-road
racing years ago to today, K&N Filters’ success
has evolved through innovation. K&N now has the most reliable air filter
in CORR.
“Motorcycles were the first to run our products in an off road environment,” said
Subriar. “They needed something better, so the concept of a washable
cotton gauze air filter entered, and was constantly improved upon for many
years to what we have now. It was those conditions that gave birth to the K&N
filter we have today.”
Currently, the K&N Filter trailer is scheduled to be at the July 8-9 CORR
event at Heartland Park Topeka in Kansas. For more information on K&N,
