Premier Stadium Offroad Event to be held in Southern California
- Fabtech So. Cal.
Offroad Grand Prix -
Riverside,
CA (April 11, 2005) -- United Productions has announced
plans to host a stadium offroad event unlike anything Southern California
has seen in quite some time. The Fabtech So. Cal. Offroad Grand Prix will have
racers converging at the National Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino
for a full day of dirt-slinging action on Saturday, May 7, 2005.
“I’m looking forward to taking part in the So. Cal. Offroad Grand
Prix. It’s about time someone put a quality effort into bringing short
course stadium events back to Southern California where it all began.”
- Curt Leduc
Driver of the Skyjacker Ford F-150 Pro-4 and Offroad Legend
Spectators are invited to arrive at noon to watch practice and qualifying
for the high-flying Stadium Trucks and Super 1600 Buggies, as well as elimination
rounds for the United Prerunners Invitational. At 4:00 there will be an open
autograph session. Heat races will start at 5:00 PM and the excitement will
continue well into the evening. Fans will also be treated to exhibition events
featuring short-course racers seldom seen on the west coast.
“Not only is this event going to be great for the offroad community,
but with this type of venue, we’re going to have a chance to share our
passion with the masses. The average family that enjoys going to monster truck
shows is going to be blown away by the excitement of this type of racing.”
