HART Motorsports driver Scott Peterson pulling double duty
in 2005 CORR Lucas Oil Series Pro & Sportsman Series
Indianapolis,
IN (April 22, 2005) -- Ron Hart started making the trek
from Washington state to Crandon, Wisconsin in 1995, assisting the Quick ‘n
Brite Racing team. 10 years later, Hart’s goal of owning his own off-road
racing team has come to fruition.
In 2005, Hart and CORR veteran Scott Peterson will compete in the Super Buggy
and Pro-2 divisions. Peterson, the 2001 CORR Sportsman Rookie of the Year,
who has 2 career wins in the Super Buggy division, will climb into a Pro-2
truck for the first time.
“With the team we have put together we are confident that we can give
Scott a truck that can run consistently inside the top five before the end
of the year,” Hart said in a press release announcing Hart Motorsports’ involvement in CORR.
“The ownership of this two vehicle race team has been a great challenge
for the team,” said Peterson. “With a lot of hard work and dedication,
it is moving forward.”
Peterson’s experience
in off-road racing in unquestioned, but moving from a Super Buggy to a Pro-2
means a lot of adjusting.
“We will know (on
the adjustment from Super Buggy to a Pro-2) when the green flag drops, and
when the checkered flag waves!”
Peterson began testing his Chevy/Goodyear powered Hart Motorsports Pro-2 truck,
but he understands he has a lot to learn.
