Coyne Motorsports Dominates in Vegas Baby!

Coyne Motorsports blew into Sin City - Las Vegas, Nevada July 28th – 30th to compete in the 1st annual SCORE Terrible’s Cup Short Course Race held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The course featured a 1.5 mile man-made chunk of Baja that proved to be both challenging and exciting.

Coyne Motorsports driver Marty Coyne was both fast and consistent in Fridays’ Heat Race and Semi Main by placing second in both races. Marty, who honed his short course driving skills racing the now defunct Mickey Thompson Stadium Off Road Series, showed he was at home on the SCORE short course and gave notice that he was the driver to beat.

Saturday proved to be a flawless day for Coyne Motorsports as Marty drove hard and took the checkered flag in both the Heat Race and the Main Event putting him and the Pro Comp Trophy Truck atop the winner’s podium! As winner of the prestigious inaugural SCORE Terrible’s Cup he and the team received the 1st place trophy and $10,000 1st place prize money. “It’s the biggest rush, it was great, a hell of a weekend,” Coyne said. “It was the best I’ve ever driven. With three restarts, flips, and crashes, it was wild. It is so hard to describe, just unbelievable. My Pro Comp Trophy Truck was unbelievable. It takes a lot to make this happen, this win is dedicated to the Coyne Motorsports crew. They worked hard all weekend. You just have to drive a little on the edge, and anything can happen. It was crazy out there.”

This 3-day nationally televised event will air on the Outdoor Life Network.
