Team Babbitt Kawasaki in the K&N Filters Presents

Babbitt’s Sports Center Teams Up With Kawasaki’s Team Green
to Race in Advanstar’s Inaugural Arenacross Series
Santa Ana, CA (September 16, 2005) -- Advanstar Communications,
Inc. – a leading provider of print, event and online media for the powersports,
off-road and automotive aftermarket industries – today announced that
Team Babbitt Kawasaki has been confirmed for the K&N Filters presents BooKoo
Arenacross Championship Series with two-time Arenacross Champion Josh Demuth,
Chad Johnson and Brad Ripple completing the roster of riders that will be competing
for the largest Arenacross purse and point fund ever offered.
Babbitt Kawasaki will field this three-rider team for the
entire 12-round K&N Filters BooKoo Arenacross Championship Series. The
second year team, based out of Muskegon, Michigan, has set its goals and
planned for the future
in action sports, and is looking to make a powerful statement in the industry
for the 2005-2006 season.
Josh Demuth will lead the charge as a two-time Arenacross
Champion. Demuth won the 2002 and the 2003 Arenacross Championships and will
be racing head-to-head
against some of the toughest competition ever assembled for Arenacross en route
to another national championship title on board Kawasaki motorcycles, with
Team Green and Babbitt’s support.
Teammate Chad Johnson is one of the most consistent Arenacross
riders on the circuit and will be a top contender for the championship title.
Brad Ripple
is another ‘one to watch’ on the team and has high hopes in making
his mark in Arenacross.
“With the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and their new Motocross
program as a large component of our team, we’re very excited to be able
to showcase our riders and the new Kawasaki’s in the inaugural BooKoo
Arenacross Championship Series,” said Eddie Babbitt, Team Owner, Babbitt’s
Kawasaki.
Denny Bartz, Race Team Manager for Team Babbitt’s, commented on Advanstar’s
Arenacross goals and the fit with their own. “Advanstar’s vision
to reinvent Arenacross and showcase the sport on a new level is something that
we gravitated to immediately, and one that matches with our own philosophy
for the industry,” he said. “With our field of riders and the support
from Kawasaki, we feel confident we’ll have strong and impressive results
at every round with an excellent shot at the Championship Title,” Bartz
added.

Race Director. “With such an A-team on and off the dirt, fans of all
