HAND IN HAND WITH AND RACERS,
International Racing Consultants (IRC) DEMONSTRATES
THE IRITRACK REAL-TIME SATELLITE TRACKING SYSTEM
DURING TSCO VEGAS TO RENO
In close collaboration with BEST IN THE DESERT
and with the help of several BITD racers, IRC demonstrates the IRITRACK
to Casey Folks and his organizing team during TSCO Vegas to Reno

Orange County (October 5th, 2005) -- The IriTrack is a real-time satellite tracking system installed in a racecar that records the GPS positions that the vehicle crossed. These positions are broadcast in real time to a computer at race headquarters, where all competitors using the system can be monitored at the same time. The unit can detect a crash or rollover and triggers an alarm mode that will flash an alarm on the race headquarters' computer, giving the exact position, number and name of the competitor. The IriTrack can also be programmed to show if a competitor is going too fast in a restricted zone and the organizer can actually speak to the driver via the IriTrack and make any safety- or rule-driven decision. If a competitor happens upon an accident or unsafe situation, he or she can trigger the alarm manually and a satellite phone call will be placed to one or several phone numbers. The IriTrack can also be used as a promotional and friendly tool by transmitting the competitors' position to a website and can be viewed via secured login from any computer in the world in near real-time.

IRC will also have on hand the DIRTDECK complete in-car camera system. The DirtDeck is designed by and for the outdoor enthusiast as a mobile video recording system. The DirtDeck includes tough, weatherproof mini-cameras, a proven compact recording deck and a rugged, anti-vibration and waterproof housing case. This system will allow anyone to take advantage of having an audio/visual record of their activities.

The DirtDeck is distributed by PCI Race Radios and RLH Communications.

International Racing Consultants also brings to US off-road racers the SENTINEL PASS-ALERT, a warning device made to help cars and trucks overtake motorcycles, quads and slower moving cars. When the horn is sounded, the target vehicle, up to 150 yards ahead in flat land, is notified both by sound with an 110dB buzzer and light with a powerful 50 led flash. The Sentinel has the potential to help reduce the number of impacts between competitors during passing maneuvers. The Sentinel units have single handedly been responsible for a significant increase in the safety of countless racers around the world, and have since become a mandatory safety element on ALL vehicles in FIA, ASO, Dakar, and all European Baja style races. The competitors tell us over and over again that they can't imagine racing without them.....

A survey on IriTrack and Sentinel
International Racing Consultants has gotten in touch with many competitors in order to conduct a survey on the IriTrack and Sentinel Pass-Alert systems. All the racers we have met showed a great support to these systems and wish to use them. IRC will continue these surveys during TSCO Vegas to Reno and will forward the results of these surveys to SCORE and BitD in order to help them make a decision on making IriTrack and Sentinel Pass-Alert mandatory in their series in the very near future.
