November's 38th Annual 2005 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 desert race

Phoenix, AZ (October 11, 2005) -- Martensen Racing is proud to announce a new partnership with R-Sport Racing and Volkspower Racing for this year's legendary desert classic, to be held Nov. 17-20 in Mexico. Richard Cassey, John Martensen and Jeff Knupp will split the driving duties in a new R-Sport single seat SCORE Lites buggy.

Nearly 300 entries from over 30 U.S. States and 10 other countries will be competing in 27 Pro and 5 Sportsman classes in this year's race. That is a remarkable tribute to the popularity of the sport of desert racing.

SCORE has also announced that this year's Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 desert race will be televised by NBC Sports for the second consecutive year on Dec. 10 giving excellent exposure to the companies that sponsor desert racing and our race teams.

Rob Martensen (Score Lites) and Ed Martensen (Class 5) will also be driving in this year's Baja 1000 on different teams.
