SEVEN MARY THREE TO PERFORM FREE CONCERT Henderson, NV (November 17, 2005
) -- The Henderson Convention and Visitors Bureau announced
the rock band Seven Mary Three will perform a free concert during Henderson's
Terrible 400 Desert Race Week, December 1-4. The concert will be one of the
many highlights throughout the four days of race festivities planned to complement
the conclusion of yet another exciting year for both
the Best in the Desert Race Series and the SNORE, Southern Nevada Off-Road
Racing Enthusiasts, race series. All events are free for spectators. "Henderson's Terrible 400 Desert Race has been received with such enthusiasm, complementing the main event with ancillary events was a natural progression," said Bud Pico, Manager of Tourism and Sales for the Henderson Convention and Visitors Bureau. "We have designed several exhilarating events to create a complete racing experience. There will be opportunities to get close-up views of the race vehicles, interact with the racers, and enjoy some great food and live entertainment." Henderson's Terrible 400 schedule of events includes: Friday - Pre-fun run (8-11 a.m.) Saturday - Motorcycle and ATV Race (6:30 a.m.) Sunday - Henderson's Terrible 400 Race Awards Presentation at the Henderson Convention Center (9-11 a.m.) Henderson's Terrible 400 is sponsored by Best in the Desert Racing Association, the Henderson Convention and Visitors Bureau, Herbst Gaming and the City of Boulder City. This year's race participation will include SNORE, the oldest and one of the most premier off-road racing organizations. Henderson's Terrible 400 marks the final and deciding race for both the Best in the Desert and SNORE series. The race will feature cars, trucks, buggies, motorcycles and ATVs and will take place in the Eldorado Valley located between Henderson and Boulder City through the McCullough Mountain range. Start/finish line will be positioned off Nevada Highway 95, near the Railroad Pass exit. The 68 mile course poses challenges, with five full laps, on what has been regarded as the fastest course in the Best in the Desert race series.
