Team UBRT Racing Wins DAMZL 250 with MORE Series in Lucerne Valley.

Well, here we go again! This makes 8 wins in a row for Team UBRT Racing with a total of 12 wins in the last 15 races.

The weather all week had been in the high 50's during the day and high 20's at night with a breeze out of the West. Saturday morning was cool at the drivers meeting at 7:30 with a very slight breeze but warmed enough with our adrenaline by 8:30 at the start of the race.

We took the front starting position for this race and decided to set a pace for the rest of our class to try to keep up with us. This seemed to work and by the end of lap 1 we had passed all Class 7 trucks, most Class 5-1600 cars, some Class 5 Open cars, 1/2-1600 cars along with a few Class 10 cars and we had a 11 minute lead on our class. By lap 3 we were in the clear of our competition with a very comfortable lead with our pace.

Lloyd Snyder rode as co-driver and after we pitted at the end of the 2nd lap and left for the 3rd lap knowing the lead we had, Lloyd and I decided to radio in to our pit to put one of our crew members in the truck for his first experience in our race truck under race conditions for our 4th lap. That would be Cameron Sinohui. I think that with the ride I gave him toward the end of the race for the last 15 miles, you wouldn't be able to wipe the smile off his face for a week. What a blast that was!

The truck worked flawless all day and from our post race inspection of the condition of the truck at the track, all we have to do is a mild prep job and make a service and minor valve change on the shocks and change the oil. Well, maybe a little more than that!

Our team for this race consisted of Jeff and Brett Carley, Alan and Eric Vandal, Papa Crone and Cameron Sinohui in main pit along with Chris White as he handled Pit "B" up on the mountain with some fantastic radio work to keep us informed of where we stood at all times along with the relay from our Main Pit when we were on the other side of the mountain. Thanks to all of you guys and to our wives for allowing us to do what we are having fun doing. We couldn't have had the success that we have.

Next race up is the MORE Balls Out 250 in Barstow on March 18th. This should be a great race as it is a Class 9 coalition race and so far there is a total of over 70 entries for all classes in this race. This race WILL go way over 100 entries as did the Damzl 250 last weekend. There will be lots of money up for grabs as we have new Sponsor's for the 1400 and 1450 classes with a minimum of a $2,500.00 purse with no minimum number of trucks in our combined class and this will continue throughout this 2006 season. Our class will be growing with leaps and bounds this year at MORE so stay tuned!

A few things I need to say is our TPE engine this season is the same as last. It runs so strong that we just aren't using all the power and we didn't hurt it last season. The FLUIDYNE cooling system works so good that we might have to put blankets on the coolers to keep the fluids warm and those M/T Tires, what can I say. Just great tires!

We got to thank those Sponsors and Co-Sponsors that help our team now and without this package that you will see below I can see how a team can be so successful in such a short time as this is the start of our 3rd racing season. Here they are:
FLUIDYNE
Total Precision Engines
Hardcore Racing Components
VMP Inc.
Mickey Thompson Tires
Chassisfab
Jazz Products
Wenco Drivelines
C & J Engineering
Mike's Transmissions
Speedway Engineering
Ron's Rearends
F & L Fuel
King Shocks
Camburg Engineering

Thanks to all of you and please make sure you come out to our races and enjoy yourself with our team.
