We won the Best in the Desert Series which included several different races including the Nevada 1000. Which we ran on one set of Goodyear tires with no flats.

We also just recently won the Laughlin Desert Challenge for our class coming in over 7 minutes faster than our nearest competitor. We took 14th overall - beating out some of the trophy trucks. Infact, the only vehicles in the top 20 were Trophy trucks, 10 cars, Class 1's and Pro trucks.

We missed getting in the top 10 by 85 seconds.

Terrible's Town 250, Wanzek Racing was finally able to work some of the bugs out of their Ford Truck & see what kind of speeds the truck could produce. At one point during the race Shaun was able to pilot Team Wanzek's new class 7 truck across the desert terrain at an amazing speed of 111mph!!! They would have kept going but had to slow down for a turn. "It was nice to see how well the truck could handle," Shawn Wanzek said after the race.

Unfortunately, the team's luck changed 110 miles from the Start/Finish line when a couple rear linkage bolts broke on the suspension. A faulty batch of bolts is the suspected culprit in this race ending break. Since the race, every single bolt and screw has been replaced on the truck to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
